Our commitment

Comedy is for everyone.

We believe the best comedy happens when everyone in the room feels safe, seen, and empowered to take risks.

A safe room

We are committed to a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, age, or experience level. Slurs, threats, and targeted personal attacks are not permitted on our stages or in our classes.

Economic access

Comedy should not be a luxury. We offer partial scholarships every term — no documentation required. We also keep ticket prices affordable and offer free community when possible.

Diverse voices on stage

We actively seek out and amplify performers from underrepresented backgrounds. Our booking, audition, and hiring practices prioritize building a roster that reflects the full diversity of Central Oregon.

Accessibility

Our theater is wheelchair accessible with an accessible restroom. We offer ASL interpretation by request with at least 14 days' notice.

Reporting & accountability

If you experience or witness behavior that violates our values, report it confidentially to hello@bendinstituteofcomedy.com. We take every report seriously and follow up promptly.
